Organizers of the annual O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo in Toronto and Grow Up Cannabis Conference and Expo in Niagara Falls  have announced their expansion to Canada’s west coast and cannabis hub – Vancouver.

Neill Dixon, President and CEO of O’Cannabiz Vancouver says after two years of hosting the events, “we learned that there was need in the B.C. market for a B2B focused conference.”

“B.C. is a major hub for the cannabis industry, but many of the biggest financial partners and legal teams are in Toronto,” added Dixon. “We are going to be bringing them together to build bridges and foster connections, hopefully leading to some very profitable partnerships.”

O’Cannabiz Vancouver will feature over 130 world-class speakers and 175 exhibitor booths in 60,000 square feet of exhibit space.

Conference topics will include Canada’s cannabis legalization and implementation; public health, safety and protection; investing outlook and opportunity; business growth and profitability; and the exploration of alternate consumption methods.

“O’Cannabiz Vancouver stems from the success of the four conferences focused on the business behind this budding market and the evolving growing industry, both named leading cannabis industry events in Canada by High! Canada Magazine,” notes a release.

Actor and former TV personality Montel Williams, who has been a medical cannabis advocate for nearly two decades due to his personal battle with multiple sclerosis, will present the conference’s keynote speech reflecting on his experience as an entrepreneur with Lenitiv Scientific, his full spectrum cannabis company which offers both hemp-derived and cannabis-derived product lines in the United States.

Williams is also actively involved in discussions in State Legislatures across the U,S, about cannabis reform and sensible cannabis policy.

The O’Cannabiz Conference and Expo Vancouver presented by MNP will be the first major cannabis conference and expo post-legalization, set for Dec. 9 -11 at the Parq Vancouver Casino Resort in Vancouver (39 Smithe Street).
