Lift & Co. is readying to host a four-day cannabis expo in Vancouver this week that’s being touted as “Canada’s premier cannabis business conference and trade show.”

The 2019 Vancouver Lift & Co. Expo event will feature more than 400 speakers and exhibitors, running from Thursday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 13 at Vancouver Convention Centre (west building).

“The Vancouver Lift & Co. Expo is the starting line for the upcoming year of cannabis,” said Matei Olaru, CEO, Lift & Co. “This is a must-attend event for those in the industry or interested in this industry anywhere in the world. As the first industrialized nation to legalize cannabis, we’re excited to once again connect our burgeoning industry this January.”

The event kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 10 with the Lift & Co. Cannabis Business Conference (LCBC), which organizers describe as “Canada’s leading cannabis business conference featuring preeminent leaders and subject matter experts tackling emerging issues and opportunities impacting the industry.”

The all-day conference opens with a look ahead at Canada’s cannabis industry, with a leadership panel moderated by Rosy Mondin, CEO & Director of Quadron Cannatech Corporation — recently named this year’s Woman in Weed – Trailblazer at the 2018 Canadian Cannabis Awards — and comprised of Peter Aceto CEO of CannTrust, Diane Scott, CEO of Jamaican Medical Cannabis Corporation, Adam Greenblatt, Business Development Lead in BC for Canopy Growth Corp., and Brad Goble, Director, Regulated Industries, Shopify.

Jan. 11 is described as an “expo industry day,” running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.“Our industry-only trade show day offers focused opportunities for cannabis professionals to kick-start meaningful conversations, relationships and deals,” organizers say.

“Whether you’re an established business owner, cannabis company employee or industry-curious entrepreneur, we encourage you to engage with fellow exhibitors in this exclusively professional environment.”

A “Women’s Zen Lunch” is also planned on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., described as a “unique lunch and networking session, co-hosted by Lift & Co. and Zenabis.”

Organizer say “we will explore topics such as workplace diversity, inclusive leadership, and finding like-mindedness in our differences. Join us for inspiring presentations and exciting discussions!”

Cannabis Expo,” organizers say. “Here you’ll explore new products, take in the latest scientific research, discover how cannabis culture and public policy are evolving for the future, and so much more.”

This is all in addition to a plethora of sessions.

On Jan. 11 sessions topics range from cannabis analysis and research to business growth and marketing.
