Want to be a retail cannabis consultant?

With cannabis legalization just around the corner, Kwantlen Polytechnic University is hosting a workshop on September 7 and 8 at their Richmond campus to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the retail industry.

“The Retail Cannabis Consultant workshop will prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work within the legal retail cannabis industry in Canada,” KPU notes on its website.

“Students will learn the Federal and Provincial regulatory frameworks under which legal cannabis will be regulated, the history of prohibition and legalization in Canada, an understanding of the cannabis plant and its effects, and the overarching role and responsibilities of a Retail Cannabis Consultant.”

KPU offers a suite of cannabis career training that are “designed to provide an overview of the successes and continual challenges within the rapidly expanding cannabis market.”
