A unique social mixer in support of corporate social responsibility in the cannabis industry will converge on Toronto next month during Canadian Cannabis Week.
The #CannabisPodcastMashup is being hosted by The Cannalysts, Cannabis Act podcast and our CEO Dr. Jenna Valleriani.
The industry shaker will bring together the biggest companies in the industry to share some of the good work the industry is spearheading.
Leaders in the cannabis sector will be interviewed on their corporate social responsibility initiatives and all the proceeds from the tickets and silent auction will be donated to Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM) and another cannabis-related charity that has yet to be named.
Some of the interviewees include Jeanette VanderMarel of 48 North Cannabis, Jonathan Zaid of Aurora, Terry Lake of Hexo, Lisa Campbell of Lifford Cannabis Solutions, John Fowler of Supreme Cannabis, Adam Greenblatt of Canopy Growth, Abi Roach of Hot Box Café, Peter Aceto of CannTrust, Erin Gratton of High Values HR, Matei Olaru of Lift & Co., former NHLer Riley Cote and co-founder of Athletes For Care, and more.
The event comes on the heels of the successful Cannabis Podcast Mashup that took place in Vancouver earlier this year, which proved to be an evening of fun and fellowship.
Organizers are still accepting donations for the silent auction, and so far, the event will include hot ticket items like Blue Jays tickets, spa gift cards, a football game tailgate party and a round trip to Smiths Falls to tour the Tweed facility. The bidding starts on June 6.
