- According to a new report by
Statistics Canada, 15.4 per cent have consumed cannabis over the past
three months. That amounts to roughly 5,698,000 Canadians – more than
the entire population of British Columbia. And, Atlantic Canadians continue to purchase more legal cannabis per capita than the rest of the country.
- As
public consultations continue, Quebec is refusing to bend on
legislation that seeks to increase the legal age of cannabis consumption
from 18 to 21 and ban the product from all public areas. As CTV reports,
Quebec junior health minister Lionel Carmant wasn’t even willing to
accept amendments to his legislation during public consultations on the
bill Tuesday in Quebec City.
- Manitoba’s first physician-led medical cannabis clinic opened last week in Winnipeg. As Global reports, the clinic offers specialists and general-practitioners who develop patient treatment plans for symptoms or ailments.
